I've mentioned it before, but I'm really proud of this gimmick.
In the second floor of our house, there is a closed stairwell leading to the attic. It has a smaller doorway and it's in a corner, so when it's closed, most people mistake it for a closet anyway. So we hung a tension curtain rod, dropped in a false ceiling, hung a bunch of clothes, put shoes and stuff on the visible stair-raisers, and suddenly it's a secret stairwell.
I just think it's cool is all...
